Musée d'Orsay

The Musée d'Orsay has a great new exhibition, Degas et le nu, and the two years of renovation on the interior spaces has been completed. You are in for big surprises. The exhibit explores Degas's evolution in his painting and drawing of the nude as well as referencing his political statements while beautifully showing his expanse of work and talent. The exhibition opened on the 13th of March and it will continue until the 1st of July, 2012. Please go, it is exceptional.

In addition, you will be pleased with the innovative uses of color and lighting for the temporary and permanent exhibits. The new darkly painted walls highlight the beauty of the paintings in a remarkable way. There is a lovely café on the first floor that has been added as well as a very modern upbeat café on the second floor. The new spaces, the flow and easier access are all delightful additions to the Musée d'Orsay.
