Square René-Viviani

One of the pleasures of Paris are the numerous green spaces throughout the city. There are the oft visited grand gardens but also there are numerous small squares that offer areas of peace and tranquility. One of my favorites is Square René-Viviani. Not only does it offer a place to rest weary feet but it offers one of the best views of Notre Dame. Check out "Parisian Postcards : Snapshots of Life in Paris" for a chapter on the history of this square. You can also click below for a recent article written for "Bonjour Paris" that provides a summary on the history of this favorite spot. I hope you enjoy the article: http://www.bonjourparis.com/story/square-rene-viviani/
