Les Délices du Shandong is a Chinese restaurant located at 88 boulevard de l’Hôpital in the 13th arrondissement. This hidden treasure of a restaurant is well worth a visit. It is so unassuming that if I had not been taken there, I would have walked right by their outdoor seating area. The place may be small but the food is outstanding.
As the name implies, the cuisine is from the region of Shandong, China. The chef, Mr. Xue, is the owner and he regularly walks through the restaurant to check on his clients to be sure that everyone is enjoying their food.

Les Délices du Shandong has a terrific website which gives you an opportunity to check out some of their choices before going. Le pain à la vapeur natur is a specialty from the Shandong region of China and it is a perfect accompaniment to the many spicy and interesting dishes.

The restaurant is open every day except for Wednesday and the hours are from noon to 3:00 pm and from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm. I particularly love their outdoor dining which is great for these long beautiful summer evenings in Paris.
