Lauren's Créateurs in Batignolles

On an exploratory visit of the Batignolles area in the 17th, we came upon a lovely boutique called Lauren’s Créateurs at 39, rue Boursault.

Lauren is the owner and she has assembled about twenty different artisans of contemporary fashion, offering handmade hats, jewelry, handbags and clothes. The space is small but there is a broad selection with many interesting and whimsical items. The hats were my favorite and if you are a hat person this should be enough of a temptation to give Lauren a visit. How wonderful in this age of mass production to find a treasure trove of one of a kind items by true artisans.

If you go now, they are offering from 20% to 40% off for most items in preparation for the new spring and summer collections. For further information, the telephone number for Lauren’s Createurs is 01 44 90 02 90 and the email address is laurence.renard@hotmail.fr

The Square des Batignolles is a very beautiful park adjacent to a lovely square with numerous restaurants and shops. A true Parisian village. We were told that many restaurants are very good in this vicinity and we opted for a small bistrot offering light meals called Le Tout Petit at 73 place du Docteur Felix Lobliqeois, 75017. It proved to be an excellent choice. They had very fresh and interesting salads, some sandwiches, a few typical french bistros options and a good selection of wines. The desserts were all prepared at the restaurant. What a perfect conclusion to a morning of exploration.

NOTE: Metro stop Rome lets you off across the street from rue Boursault. Cross Boulevard des Barignolles and continue on Boursault. You will come across Lauren’s boutique and bit farther will be Square des Batignolles.
