Vendanges de Montmartre 2014

Everyone gets to taste the wine right there on the street.

Since 1934, the 18the arrondissement celebrates for five days the grape harvest in October. The Clos Montmartre is a vineyard right in the heart of Paris with an interesting and long history. (Check out my book for more details.) It is home to more than 1,700 vines and each year there is a celebration for the arrival of the new wine and the end of the harvest. Great fun, lots of festivities and, of course, excellent wines from all over France.

I am posting some photos to help you participate in the fun and I hope to see you here in Paris and at the Grape Harvest Festival of Montmartre next October !

Music !
I love the outfits.
More wine tasting.

These guys were having so much fun.

They even taste wine on the way to Santiago  de Compostela.

More music and crazy outfits.

Great balloons !

Everyone loves the guy who plays the tuba.
And, of course, lots of jolies filles.
